I often get an initial look of surprise and/concern when I tell people I am travelling alone. I think for women in particular, there is this myth that going solo is dangerous so I'd like to show that it can be done safely with much ease and fun. I believe that everyone should travel alone at least once in their life if they can, for it is an enriching experience that is like no other. There are of course highs and lows on trips like anything else but for me; travelling creates an openness and affinity with strangers, whilst also preserving my value for solitude against the backdrop of the world's wonders. I travel light and on low-mid budget...but I do also like splurging on a treat for myself every now and then. My itineraries are designed to save time and money so I make the most out these short trips while still leaving room for unplanned adventures.
